Snow = Bad Drivers

Well it took me all of 4 minutes to think of my first rant:

What is with people in Regina, and well people everywhere that when a little snow falls on the ground 90% of drivers driving ability goes to shit? Seriously comming home from school today, at 9PM, I had 6 seperate vehicles cut me off or drift into my lane, and that doesn't include the asshole who was still cruising at 100KM/H at the Pasqua intersection when everyone was just getting going on a green light. Does this person not have the capacity to look ahead and see that people are not moving and then realize he or she should SLOW DOWN?

I by am no means saying you need to go 20 on the Ring Road or anywhere for that matter but seriously it is slippery out there, SLOW DOWN. Luckily I was just able to get enough traction to move forward and out of this assholes way. Hopefully his steering went to shit when he slammed into the curb from slamming on the brakes. Which begs the question, how long did it take him to realize he was not going to stop on time and then decide to slam on the brakes? I mean the weather was terrible out, he surely had to be paying attention while he ws driving.

It's kind of ironic that when I came home and turned on the TV the season finale of "Canada's Worst Driver" was on Discovery. I wish I had gotten this guys plate so I could nominate him for next seasons show.

However my problems do not lie solely with this individual, why is it that just because people don't see the lane lines, due to a little snow, they simply drive wherever they want? I mean the 13 year olds I am teaching right now could easily figure out where to drive, why can't people who have supposedly passed a test do it? Speaking of tests, there should be a rule that people need to take their road test in both the Winter and Summer. I know that lots of people purposely wait until the summer to go because they know they can't drive in the winter.

Also with the snow, if people at the University decide to park like idiots again this winter I might lose it.

END RANT
