Introducing the 2007 RSFL Axmen

# Last First
22 Boughen Ryan
24 Brown Danny
21 Grubb Landon
99 Knight Michael
89 Linton Randy
18 Seguin Robert
32 Stevens Joel
10 Stulberg Jacob
8 Thomson Lyle
88 White Braden
7 Wolf Jamie
73 Yanko Ryan

This team looks to be a good one, however they have a lot to accomplish if they want to meet the expectations the 2006 edition left behind. Returning from 2006 are Mike Knight, Jacob Stulberg, Braden White and Jamie Wolf.

The newcomers have a lot to make up but they definitly have the potential.

All going for the championship again in 2007.

Regina Pats Vs. Swift Current Broncos

Sorry, been forever since I posted and well I am only posting this now because I am avoiding doing homework. (see prior post)

Anyways, this morning I picked up tickets for games 1 and 2 of the WHL Eastern Playoff matchup between Highway #1 Rivals Regina and Speedy Creek. Should be a good matchup, Regina has been hot the entire second half while SC has been crazy good the last 2 weeks beating teams such as Medicine Hat handily.

My prediction on the series is that the Pats take it in 6. The Pats a fantastic at home and I expect them to win one game on the road.

See ya at the Brandt Center on Friday.

Silence before the Storm

This week is the silence before the storm for me, NOTHING in due in any of my classes. However I look to the ol' Calendrier and I see 9 major assignments due in the month that follows this week.

I am not looking forward to any of that, I did however take a some time to get organized today for the coming weeks.

Should be interesting......I have the football season to look forward to once all of this stuff is done.

Hits in China?

What is with the hits to my blog from China, France, and what looks like Saudi Arabia? Ex pats from the 306?

Really shows the power of the internet I guess when people in China are checking out KK and the RSFL!

Anyways.....1 mid-term down today.......1 to go.

Kenton Keith

KK left us this off season signing with the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL. I truly wish him the best of luck down in the NFL but selfishly hope he comes back to the Green and White.

Here are a few videos of KK in action for those of you who don't know who he is and for the rest of us to remmeber!

So fast, so quick....you have to love Darren Fluties comment "You have heard the saying "He just broke someones ankle with that move" well I think Kenton Keith just broke someones ankle with that move!"

Mid-Terms

What is up with mid-terms? Who needs them?

Yes, I am currently engaging myself in the wonderful world of Indigenous Studies and Canadian Geography!

I have 3 mid terms this week, I am already done one but I mean just after the break and they want us to remember all of this content? Why not have them before the break? That's what I would prefer. Anyways......back to the books for me.

RSFL Trophy

NHL Trade Deadline

Some pretty decent moves have occured today with with NHL deadline. I have heard the likes of Biron, Guerin, Roberts, Laroque have been moved and that even a guy like Jagr is available for the right price today (back to Pittsburgh?)

Update: Wow, The Edmonton Oilers have traded their pride and joy Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders. To be honest I think it is a great trade for both teams, the Oil has no chance in the playoffs this year and they picked up alot of youth by dumping Smyth. It was rumoured Smyth wanted a 5 year 25 million dollar contract...thanks but no thanks Ryan.

Update #2: Well lots of ativity today, I would have to say that the biggest deal was that of Ryan Smyth to the Islanders followed closely by the Guerin deal to the Sharks.

It is really shaping up to be one hell of a fight in the West and looks like the Sabres and Sens are the likely candidates to represent the East this year and hoist Lord Stanleys Cup!

Anyways here is another blog that is outstanding today, Jay Onrait's TradeCenter blog over at www.tsn.ca
